Earnest Ragland Obituary

Homegoing Celebration for Ernest Ragland, 90, Gadsden , will be 1:00p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Kenneth Malone, Officiant. Interment will follow in Lincoln Hill Cemetery. Public visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Mr. Ragland was born in Lincoln, AL on April 13, 1926. He was the youngest of twelve siblings. He worked many years at Coosa Pipe Shop, Anniston Pipe Shop, Allis Chamlers and Alagasco. The family will also like to thank his special friends who shared in his favorite pastime, playing dominoes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Ragland and son, Anthony Ragland.
He is survived by his children: Eugene (Gwendolyn)Ragland, Jackie Ragland, Dewayne Ragland, Debra Ragland (Naplah), Timothy (Lanice)Ragland, Beverly(Shawn) Key, Belinda Ragland, Cassandra (Theo)Watkins, nineteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.

"Big Daddy"(as you were affectionately called by the family), you, with your kind, calm, gentle demeanor and spirit will be greatly missed.
