Freida Butler Obituary
Freida was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse who went far and above the call of duty to show her compassion and love to her patients.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Homer and Annie Entrekin and Fred and Pauline Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband, Stacey Butler; sons, Dustin Helms and Jeremy Brown; parents, Connie and Barbara Entrekin; grandchildren, Houston, Dylan and Emily Helms; brothers, Gary Entrekin and Scott (DeAnna) Entrekin; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Courtney, Chase and Andrew Entrekin; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be uncles. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Attalla Healthcare and Rehab.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Humane Society of Etowah County.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard that Freida was not here with us anymore.I worked with her for only a short time but all those who knew her;know, It didn't take long to see she was a special person. I enjoyed working with her, she was a loving, compassionate nurse. I pray that her family can stay strong, comforted and be in peace in HIS presence. I, too have just suffered a loss of my father 3 months ago. God bless all of you now and continue to hold you up.

I will truly miss Freida, she was like a sister to me. I met her right after Gary and I started dating. We use to go out and eat and we would have the best time. She truly loved people and was always so happy. I will forever hold the memories of her in my heart. I love you all! Gail Mintz

I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of my childhood friend.
I have so many good memories that I cherish from knowing Frieda: The beauty pagent we were in, me, Shannon & Frieda playing outside, Barbara making us lunch,and having to be quiet so we wouldn't wake up Scott, and how grown we thought we were driving from Gadsden to Birmingham. She is forever in my heart.
