Goldie Whitt Obituary
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. (CST) at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Sardis City, Ala.
Born in Boaz, Ala., Mrs. Whitt had resided in Sardis City, Ala., all of her life before moving to Albany in 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tence C. Hill and Julia Mashburn Whitt; and her husband, Eric Dewain Whitt.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia W. Griffin (Bill), Albany, Ga., Gean Watford (Larry), Sardis City, Ala.; sister, Tennie Stephens, Gadsden, Ala.; three grandchildren, Dr. Patricia Mattson, Winter Haven, Fla., Dr. John Watford, Ashville, N.C., Ginger Watford, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Walter Mattson and Aslyn Mattson, both of Winter Haven, Fla.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. (CST) at Etowah Memorial Chapel, 12600 U.S. Highway 431 S., Sardis City, AL 35987.
