I was so saddened to hear that Jane had passed away, and I extend my condolences to her children and their families. I met Jane when we were eight years old, and my family had moved near the Roberts when they lived on Turrentine Ave. During the 15 months that we lived there, Jane, her brother, John, and I played together most days. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, were very kind to me, and they invited me on many of their outings. After we moved away, Jane and I lost contact for a few years until we became classmates, first, at Disque, and then at Gadsden High. The last time that I saw Jane was at our 40th GHS reunion where we were able to catch each other up on our respective lives. Jane was a beautiful person who was taken from us much too soon. Jane, may you rest in peace.

We just heard of Jane's passing and would have been at her services had we known. Bill has fond memories of their childhood in Gadsden and we both loved her as a friend. She taught two of our children and coached one in tennis. They adored her, but then I don't know anyone who didn't. Her vivacious personality, beauty, and kindness will always be remembered.
Our deepest heartfelt sympathies,
Bill and Judy Cranford

She changed so many students lives for the better. I was a student of hers in 1989-1990 and the calculus she taught lead me to a better understanding of how our world works and why many things work the way they do. I consider myself luck to have been one of her students.
