Jr. Mink Obituary
Jr. was of the Baptist faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1991. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a devoted husband, Daddy and Pop. Some of the things Jr. enjoyed most were hunting, fishing, going to the casino, Alabama football and Southside Panther Youth football and cheer. Most of all, he enjoyed sitting on the porch with his beloved wife of 45 years, Elaine, and watching his grandchildren play, swim and have fun.
He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Mink Sr.; and mother, Maggie Mink.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Elaine Mink; son, Trea (Jinell) Mink; daughter, Nikki Mink (Kendall Hester); grandchildren, Trent, Landon and Jaelyn; brothers, Bill and Pete; sisters, Reda and Eva; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has several people they would like to thank; the staff of Rehab First at McGuffey Healthcare, Teresa Johnson, Steven Mitchell, Brittany Hughes, Renee Hull and Kim Morgan; the staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center 9 South, especially Shannon Hunter, Nathan Walker and Debbie Finnen, who was an answer to a prayer. Last but not least, the staff of Lawley Premier Hospice Care, especially Wendy Hood, Darcie Raines and Barbie Chapman. We cannot thank you enough for the kindness and compassion you showed to our family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Whorton Bend Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Very happy to be part of this family. Jr. and Elaine made you fell at home. Loved to sit and talk about when Terry was little and the things he did. I know that him and all the Minks are having a good time together. Love and miss you.

I am so glad I had the chance to take care of POP while in McGuffeys, He touched my heart in the short time he was there, I was truly blessed to have met him and Elaine. May God be with Elaine, Trey & Nikki in this time.

Jr. will NEVER be forgotten, He inspired so many during his journey on earth. I will ALWAYS remember his laugh and smile. JR may be gone from earth but is in a MUCH better place and Trea, Nikki, and Elaine JR will always be with you everywhere you are. I Love all of you!!!!!

JUST HEARD THAT JR, IS ON HIS WAY TO HEAVEN. I PRAY THE LORD WILL PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ELAINE AND FAMILY AND GIVE THEM COMFORT IN KNOWING THEY WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN.

Oh, my friend, my buddy...No one can fathom how much you'll be missed. Thanks for all the help you've given me...making that great move to Gatlinburg with all the trucks, van, and U-Haul loaded to the gills! I'll never forget you & how much you loved your family. I'll never forget all the trips to the casinos, SO much fun! I'll think of you every time I look at my outside lighting in Gatlinburg, my sliding glass shower doors, my kitchen caulking, etc., etc., etc. Rest in peace - I love you.

I didn't know him, I just knew, that was Eva's brother, and hate to hear anyone dear to someone pass away, I know now, how bad the loss is, it's something that will change your life.
