Kenneth Moon Obituary

Ken Moon, 78, Tyler, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016. A celebration of his life takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at 1000 Noccalula Road (formerly Moonsong Music Café/Worship Unusual).
Ken graduated from Gadsden High School in 1956, attended Auburn University and the U.S. Naval Academy before joining the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served six years.
He retired from The Bureau of Radiation-State of Texas Health Department and later served six years as a city councilman of Webberville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ruth L. and J. Frank Moon; and daughter, Lisa Diane Moon.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Glynda Moon; son, Kenneth Scott Moon and wife Christina, Austin, Texas; brother, Donald Ray Moon, Hinesville, Ga.; sisters, Mary Allen, Brunswick, Ga., and Margaret Adams, Gadsden; two granddaughters, Caelynn and Rachel Moon, Austin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
