Mark Laurence Obituary

A native of Mobile and a resident of Gadsden, Mark Matthew Laurence Jr. died Friday, Nov. 7, at home.

He was general manager for AIG Insurance.

He is survived by his children, Mark Matthew (Amy) Laurence III, John Michael (Amy) Laurence and Andrew Luke Laurence, all of Mobile; his brother, Charles Anthony (Robin) Laurence, Mobile; sisters, Theresa Marie (Edward) Nurse and Karen Rose Laurence, both of Mobile; his mother, Rosemary Laurence, Mobile; and six grandchildren, Mark IV, Emily, Dreyeton, Madison, Lauren and Mitchell; and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with burial in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mark will be greatly missed at American General. I will miss talking to him regarding the agents he wanted to get hired for his office. I worked with him for a long time. He was a great guy. My sympathy and prayers go out to his family.
