He leaves behind to cherish his memory two brothers and one sister-in-law, James Staples of Chicago, and Charles and Jessica Staples of Atlanta; his former wife of over 25 years, Marina Staples, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; five children, Pamela Vaughn of Gadsden, Raymond F. Staples of Beverly Hills, Regina Randle of Atlanta, Kristie Moreland of Phoenix, Arizona, Raymond Staples Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Jonterio Walker of Montgomery, Summer Walker of Birmingham, Cree (Shane) Washington of McDonough, Georgia, Malia Randle of Riverdale, Julia Randle of Riverdale, Karah Moreland of Phoenix, Alexander Staples of Lawrenceville, Willard Moreland Jr. of Phoenix; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; Coretta Staples of Carson, California, and Tonya Strickland Brooks of Columbus, Ohio. He also leaves a host of cousins, dear friends and classmates.
