Troy Langley Obituary
Mr. Troy "Lamar" Langley attended Hokes Bluff High School. He married Myrtle Faye Hughes and had four boys. He was a truck driver for most of his adult life until he had to retire in 2001. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his cat "Dixie." He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Atlanta Braves and Auburn football.
He is preceded in death by his parents: David Henderson and Minnie Ruth Langley; brothers: Edward, Donald, and Glenn; wife: Myrtle Faye Langley (mother of their sons) and Judy McGinnis Langley.
He is survived by his sons: Mike, Frank (Tina), Scott (Dana), and Jeff (Esther); grandchildren: Eric, Daniel, Jessica, Devan (Evan), Kendall (Matt), Drew, Kayla (Cody) and Zack; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Randall (Diana), Hoyt; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Daniel, Drew, Zach, Evan, Matt, and Cody.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family.
Special thanks to Amedysis Hospice (Hannah), caretaker and sitter Misty Habyan, and Dr. Steve Sanders.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday.
