Vivian Barker Obituary
Mrs. Barker lived most of her life in Alabama City. She was a member of the Salvation Army for over 54 years, where she taught Sunday School, and won many souls to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Barker and James Mitchell; and parents, Zeb and Mary Martin.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie (Hank) Lane, Hokes Bluff, Vickey (Joe) Newsome, Dothan, and Delores Amelia Ragsdale, Boaz; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
Special thanks to Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Coosa Valley Health Care.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mitchell Barker was an incredible woman. I thought of her often and lovingly. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Rose, please know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I Love having Vivian, in sunday school, she always had something postive to say. She was the oldest mother of the church, and she love God,and the family of God. vivian will be missed.
