GAFFNEY - B. Dale Jolly, 74, of 437 Cherokee National Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Brenda Rice Jolly and the son of the late Raymond Lamar Jolly and Gracie Mosley Jolly. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Limestone College and was retired from Duke Energy. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard, enjoyed hunting, gardening and was an avid Clemson Tiger fan. He also had a great love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Jolly was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, also surviving are a son, Brad Jolly and wife, Charla of Gaffney; two daughters, Tracy Jolly Pavlish and husband, J. Scott of Charlotte and Alyson Jolly Pearson and husband, Michael of Gaffney; a sister, Gay Snellings and husband, Dale of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, Jack Pavlish, Ben Pavlish, Tucker Earls, M.J. Pearson, Zach Jolly, J.B. Jolly, Georgia Pavlish, Kaitlyn Moore and Lindsay Moore; and a best friend, Gary Moss of Gaffney.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Providence Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Scott Peterson officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Providence Baptist Church, 822 Providence Road, Gaffney, SC, 29341.
The family will be at the residence.
