Barbara Martin Obituary

Gaffney, SC - Barbara Ann McAbee Martin, 77, of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Piney Trees Martin, Jr. and daughter of the late Charlie McAbee and Myrtle Blackwood McAbee. She retired from Hamrick Industries and was a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her family, cats, and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are three sons, Jimmy Martin (Beth), Piney Martin, III and Dewayne Martin, all of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Alex Martin and Hailie Martin. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Ann Martin.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, August 8, 2025 at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: El Bethel Baptist Church, 116 Billy Goat Bridge Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at the home of Dewayne Martin, 327 Lemmons Lane, Gaffney, SC 29341.
