Danny Marett Obituary
Gaffney, SC - Charles Daniel "Danny" Marett, 66, of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Fort Bragg, NC, he was the husband of Martha "Marty" Randolph Marett and son of the late James Douglas Marett and Jane Ray Marett. He retired as a trooper from the South Carolina Highway Patrol and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Hope Greene (Jamie), Amy Acker (Rusty), both of Gaffney, Michael Brown (Shelly) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Faith Pope (Gary) of Spartanburg, SC, Rory Marett (Abby) of Walla Walla, WA, Angela Ruddy (Mike), Aimee Parks (Thomas), both of Winchester, VA and Daniel Marett of Purcellville, VA; grandchildren, Ellis Greene, Warren Greene, Patterson Greene, Avery Acker, Reece Acker, Parker Brown, Landry Brown, Grady Pope, Harry Pope, Wade Butler, Abby Grace Butler, Tre Parks, Audrey Marett and Gavin Marett; a sister, Melanie Cupples (Steve) of Detroit. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Douglas Marett, Jr. and a sister, Susan Marett.
Private services were held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Church of the Incarnation, 308 College Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340 or Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342.
The family will be at their respective homes.
