Gaffney - Donna Ray Black Prutsman, 76, of 340 Ashworth School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late Ray Curtis Black and Donna Nadine Ludlow Black. She was retired from Cashwell Financial, enjoyed playing cards and needlepointing. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved her furbaby, Harry. Ms. Prutsman was a very active member of Temple Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Ginger Brown (Jody) of Gaffney and Jill Monroe (Brian) of Greenville; a sister, Penny Norris (Randy) of IN; four grandchildren, Emilee Brown, Luke Brown, Timothy Monroe (Evyn), Joshua Monroe; four great-grandchildren, Ellie Pittman, Audrey Monroe, Wyatt Monroe and Nevaeh; a nephew, Dale Carlson (Zwanda) of NE; and Sheri Wernert (Bill) of Ohio; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Carlson; and a brother, David Black.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Cooper, Mr. Brian Monroe and Mrs. Jill Monroe officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Temple Baptist Church, 1508 Cherokee Avenue, Gaffney, SC, 29340 or Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC, 29342.
