Fred Carroll Obituary

IRMO, SC - Fred Douglas Carroll, 75, of Irmo, S.C. and former business owner of CP Carroll Photography passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. His portraiture has brought warm everlasting memories for countless families in the entire state. His art and legacy will live on in the future as treasures to those who had the privilege of his art.

He was loved by his family and everyone who met him. He not only was an accomplished photographer but he was a loving husband and father of two sons who are such a great reflection of their father's warm and gentle soul.

He was born in Gaffney, South Carolina. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Rilda Bray Carroll and his sons Connor

Bray Carroll and Parker Manning Carroll, his sister Thelma Robertson, and her husband Keith, Sister Ann Pressley, husband Mike. Predeceased are his father Leonard R. Carroll, mother Inez Lowery Carroll and three brothers Robert Carroll, wife Sybil, James Carroll, wife Sue and L. Wayne Carroll. He was loved and treasured by his entire family including all of his nieces and nephews. He had many friends who loved him like family and considered him their best friend. He will be missed as a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. We are saddened that his presence is no longer here to bless us but he has an eternal place in heaven where he waits to join us all. We love him dearly and look forward to seeing him again.

Thank you Fred for showing us all how to truly love not just in word but also in deed. You were devoted to your family and loved your sons with all your heart. You were the love of my life and my best friend. I am blessed to have such a great man love me and bless me with two wonderful sons. We had our dreams come true.

Well when I was a bank teller many years ago Fred had an awesome kiosk taking pictures. His personality was great open and friendly always with a huge smile. Every day he came in with a deposit and made sure he waited in my line. We became friends over time. I actually introduced my sister Rilda to him. It was love at first sight. Of course I liked him and loved her so much. Honestly it was like magic! They were together every day since. Fred had the kindest heart especially for such a big man. HahahHa. Just really tall. I watched them have their two beautiful boys. Couldn´t have asked for better for my sister. I´ve loved them through 32 years. He is in my family´s heart for ever! He is in no pain and watching down on them. Thank you so much Fred my buddy my friend! I miss you already. I love you so much my favorite brother n law! God had a reason for us to meet and we know why.

I worked with Fred at Hayne Shop for a while until he got hurt. We always had some pleasurable conversations. My prayers are with you and your family.
