Hattie Shears Obituary

Hattie Ree Littlejohn Shears, age 74, of 111 Granite Drive, Gaffney, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025, in her home.

She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late David and Lillie Davis Littlejohn.

Wife of Freddie Shears, she was a member of Gowdeysville Baptist Church where she served as an usher, and deaconess. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and a retiree of Limestone Mills and Newark Electronics.

Left to cherish loving memories are: a son, Kevin Shears (Ebony), of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Minister Lillie Gibbs. Lee Ethel Littlejohn, Dora Littlejohn, and Doris Littlejohn; five brothers, David Littlejohn (Linda), Willie Littlejohn, Paul Littlejohn (Bessie), Lewis Samuel Littlejohn (Alice), and Ray Littlejohn (Toni), all of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Sydney Shears, Kevin Shears, Jr., and Jalen Gaddy, all of Charlotte, NC; other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at 12:00 noon in Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Reverend S. L. Ford officiating.
