Blacksburg - Jack Davis, 92, of 318 Batchelor Drive, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Blacksburg, he was the widower of Theresa Parker Davis and the son of the late William Clyde Davis and Carrie Starnes Davis. Mr. Davis retired as a supervisor at Wendell Fabrics and was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church.
Mr. Davis is survived by two daughters, Shirley Jaynes and Janice Davis; two sisters, Vera Brown and Carolyn Wright; one brother, Thomas Davis; four grandchildren, Michelle Crocker, Michael Davis, Brandon Jaynes, and Kristen Sullivan; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Davis.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 24, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Graveside services will immediately follow at 3:30 pm at Clingman Memorial Gardens, 1219 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Michael Owen officiating. Danny Ham, Danny Ham Jr., William Davis, Tommy Davis, Roger Wright, and Todd Crocker will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at their respective residences.
