Gaffney, SC - Juanita Lovelace Blanton, 89, of 914 N. Green River Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Kings Mountain, NC, she was the wife of Donald Blanton and daughter of the late Osbia Lovelace and Elizabeth Ledford Lovelace. She retired from textiles, was a member and caretaker of State Line Baptist Church, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She loved her family and her loyal companion and dog "Artie".
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Mark Blanton (Melissa) of Gaffney; two daughters, Donna Ledford (Danny) of Cliffside, NC and Susan Blanton (Bobby Morgan) of Forest City, NC; six grandchildren, Sheena Davis (Aaron), Shannon Sims (Chris), Michael Blanton, Morgan Blanton, Jonathan Blanton (Carrie) and Joshua Blanton (Kailey); seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Charlotte, Grant, Leah, Hallie, Isla and Truitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Blanton, three brothers, Charles Lovelace, Robert Lovelace and Kenneth Lovelace, and a sister, Kathleen Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at State Line Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Hill, Reverend Ray Hefner, Mr. Jonathan Blanton and Reverend Corey Lanier officiating. Interment will be in the State Line Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence, 914 N. Green River Road, Gaffney.
