Blacksburg, SC - Lisa Goforth Cox, 66, of 518 Battleground Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of John Robert Cox and daughter of the late Charles Goforth and Joann Cashion Goforth. She was a homemaker, a kindergarten teacher's assistant, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gaffney. She loved her family, teaching kids and sunflowers. Lisa was a very hard worker, a great mom and wife, and a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, John Dustin Cox (Courtney) of Blacksburg; a daughter, Jenna Ann Cox of Lyman; a sister, Rita Lay of Blacksburg; two grandchildren, Joseph Cox and Allyssa Cox; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Doug Fowler officiating. The family will receive immediately following the service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
The family will be at the residence, 518 Battleground Drive, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
