Gaffney, SC - Lisa Mullinax Lydia, 61, of 1346 Wilkinsville Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was first married to the late Mitchell Lydia and the wife of the late Laurence "DD" Crocker and the daughter of the late Marvin Mullinax and Mary Upchurch Mullinax. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Hamrick's. Mrs. Lydia was a member of First Apostolic Church of Blacksburg.
Surviving is a daughter, Monica Gordon (Adam) of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law, Julia Lydia of Union; a step-son, Jimmy Jackson of Blacksburg; a step-daughter, Carol Ray of Gaffney; two brothers, Marvin Mullinax Jr. of Gaffney and Roy Carlisle Mullinax (Barbara) of Liberty; a sister, Barbara Ann Patterson of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Tabitha Lydia, Avery Palacios and Arieana Gordon. Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Lydia; two brothers, Jeffery Lee Mullinax and Steven Ray Mullinax; and sister, Mary Parker Roemhild.
Mrs. Lydia will be taken to the residence after 2:00PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 where the family will receive friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Apostolic Church of Blacksburg with Reverend Tim Patterson and Reverend Tommy Wright officiating. Interment will be in McKown's Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Lisa requested that all the family please wear red.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
The family will be at the residence.
