Gaffney, SC - Marcus "Marc" McRae Quick, 61, of 307 Overbrook Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Everette Vernon Quick and Maxine Love Quick. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, had a great love for The Gaffney Indians and volunteered for the lines crew for the football field and enjoyed fishing. Marc was retired from Freightliner and a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is a sister, Victoria Quick (Phyllis Williams) of Gulfport, FL; an aunt, Katherine Evans of Laurinburg, NC; and three cousins, Cathy Stuckey, Debbie Quick (John) and Norman Quick (Carol), all of Laurinburg, NC.
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 12:00PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Laurinburg, NC with Reverend Robert Dean officiating.

Robbie Thompson
Gaffney, SC - Robert "Robbie" Edward Thompson, 53, of 706 Ross Hill Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Patrice Meeks Thompson and son of Dean Thompson (Gayle) of Spartanburg and Mary Ann Skinner Blair of Boiling Springs, SC. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from UPS Freight after 25 years of service, and was an auxiliary police captain for the City of Gaffney for 25 years. He volunteered with the Grassy Pond Volunteer Fire Department, was on the dive team for Cherokee County, and received a Master Gardener degree from Clemson Extension. He loved his family, his fur-baby "Sarah", and his other dogs and chickens.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Furman Lee Thompson (Kerry) of Boiling Springs, SC; a nephew, Griffin Thompson; his aunt and caretaker, Clara Thompson of Gaffney and aunt, Jane Queen (Jackie) of Gaffney; an uncle, Joe Mack Skinner (Lisa) of Gaffney; numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buddy Ligon officiating.
