Burl E. Quick, a man known for providing for others, passed away on January 31, 2026. Burl, 58, of Lake Odessa was born December 14, 1967, in
Hastings, Michigan, to Leslie and Shirley (Combs) Quick. Burl married Mary Dillon in 2012, and the two shared several loving years together before her passing in 2021. Burl deeply cared about his family and was known for his kind, selfless nature, often going without ensuring others had what they needed. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including camping, spending time with his beloved dogs, fishing, traveling to Paradise, Michigan, bear hunting, and indulging in sweet treats.
Burl is survived by his mother, Shirley Quick of Lake Odessa; children, Dustin (Jesse) Burleson and David (Lindsay Mascho) Schreiner both of Lake Odessa, Kara (Megan) Willey of Belleville, and Forest (Anne) Quick of Mulliken; grandchildren, Briyana and Paisley Burleson, Carson, Monroe, and Hadley Schreiner, and Burke Quick; siblings, Jeff (Sam Wathen) Quick, Leslie (Ron) Crosby, Vanessa (Richard) Tomlinson; nieces and nephews, Heather Colvin, David Shaver, Brendan and Blake Quick, Cody Crosby, and Jimmy Longanbach; and several other extended family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Leslie Quick; sister Joenia Quick; and wife, Mary.

Visitation is Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Mark Lipscomb officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. A luncheon will follow the interment.
