Christopher Alan Cranson

Christopher Alan Cranson, age 63, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, formerly of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1962, in Lansing, Michigan, to Charles Stanley Cranson and Catherine Agnes (Huver) Cranson. Chris graduated from Grand Ledge High School in the Class of 1980 and subsequently worked for various companies, including the John Henry Company and Speaker Hines and Thomas Printing. For the past twenty years, he served as a dedicated barber at Frandor Barbers.

Chris had a great sense of humor and was a loyal friend. He cherished the time he spent with his mother, Catherine, and held a deep love for his family. His passions included sports, particularly golf, and he took great joy in spending time at the lake with a fishing line in hand.

He is survived by his two beloved sons, Nate( Fiancé Katie Peppler) Cranson and Andrew (Meghan) Cranson; grandsons, Cameron and Blake Cranson; as well as his siblings: Jeff (Pat) Cranson, Carl (Anne) Cranson, Laraine Soltysiak, Gary (Sherry Willadson) Cranson, Brenda (Carlos) Ramirez, Mary (Gary) Hotchkin, and Sally (DJ) Florian. Chris was preceded in death by his dad, Charles; brother, Chuck, and brother-in-law, Tom Soltysiak.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM by The Reverend Fr. James Eisele. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 10-11:00 AM. Rite of Committal will take place Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge.
