David Michael Burcham, a dedicated businessman and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at his home in Mulliken, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 3, 1958, in Lansing, Michigan the son of Robert and Viola (Campbell) Burcham. David lived a life marked by hard work and motivation, qualities that defined both his personal and professional endeavors.
A proud graduate of Grand Ledge High School, class of 1977, David took those early lessons of perseverance and commitment into every aspect of his life. On June 28, 1980, he married Mary Elizabeth Bigford. He was the owner and operator of Burcham Enterprises, where he was known not only for his expertise but also for his unwavering dedication to his students and community.
David cherished his family more than anything else, and his love for them was a cornerstone of his life. Those who knew him well will remember his strong work ethic balanced perfectly with his warm and supportive nature. In addition to his professional and family commitments, David had a passion for traveling, an interest that revealed his curious spirit and zest for life.
David is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Jamie (Leeann) Burcham, David (Theresa) Burcham; grandchildren, Ty Burcham, Noah Holland, Ava Burcham, Carlee Burcham; parents, Robert and Viola Burcham; siblings, Robert (Marlene) Burcham, Wendy Burcham, Lisa (Robert) Burcham; brother-in-law, Guy (Karen) Bigford; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Yaw, Melanie (George) Garrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Jamie Burcham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Danby Cemetery.
