Millie McCraw

Gaffney, SC - Millie Sue Phillips McCraw, 88, formerly of 172 Boiling Springs Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Winford Lamont McCraw and daughter of the late Lloyd "Hap" Phillips and Pearl Allison Phillips. She retired from CVS Pharmacy and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Millie loved her family, was a former Sunday School teacher at several churches, a member of the Red Hat Club at Gardens of Wakefield, and enjoyed mission trips.

She is survived by a son, Eric Geddings Garner (Kelly) of Wake Forest, NC; a daughter, Denise Coffey (Gary) of Spartanburg; two stepdaughters, Pamela Sarratt and Tina McCraw, both of Gaffney; an honorary stepdaughter, Molly Hefner of Gaffney; two brothers, Eckels Phillips (Vera) and Joe Phillips (Carolyn), both of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Rev. Andrew Garner (Maranda), Sally Stremlow (David), Chris Kietzman, Cynthia Racz, Randy Coffey (Wendi) and Stacy Rabine (Patrick); fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Joe Garner, and two sisters, Rebecca Robbs and Nancy Vess.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andrew Garner officiating. Interment will be in the Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
