Gaffney – Naomi Beedles, age 94, transitioned from this life on Monday, December 21, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Hayles McDowell and Ozelia McDowell.
She converted at an early age and joined Mikes Creek Baptist Church under the pastoral ship of Rev. R.B. Sullivan. She attended Cuyahoga Community College and received numerous certifications in Psychology, Pharmacology I and II and Critical Care. She worked for 24 ½ years at Cleveland State Hospital as a LPN nurse and alternate supervisor where she retired August 1975.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Mrs. Eloise Knuckles of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Carron Dunton of Gaffney, SC. One son, Jeffrey Beedles of Gaffney, SC., one brother, Bobby Mc- Dowell of Cleveland, Ohio. Two sisterin laws, Mrs. Fannie McDowell of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Daisy McDowell of Atlanta Georgia, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew's other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Mikes Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Courtney Mills officiating. The body will lie-in-state at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be limited seating. Face mask, gloves and temperature checks are required before entering the sanctuary. Ms. Naomi Beedles can be viewed on Thursday, December 24, 2020 from 12 until 4 p.m.
