Mrs. Phyllis Smith Jefferies, age 66, of 530 McCluney Drive, Gaffney, answered the Master's call on Sunday morning, March 26, 2017, at her residence.
Daughter of the late Gonzalee Smith and the late Annie Pearl Smith, she was born on February 7, 1951, in Jonesville. She was a member of Shalom Christian Fellowship Church. Mrs. Jefferies was a graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 1971. She was a retired employee of Wellstone Textile.
She is survived by three sons, Mr. Chris Jefferies (Ashley) of Greer, Mr. David Scott Smith of Spartanburg, and Mr. Joshua Jefferies of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Wannermaker (Mike) of Decatur, Georgia, and Ms. Iris Smith of Union; four brothers, Mr. Phillip Smith (Floree) and Mr. Paul "Doug" Smith and Mr. Billy Smith, all of Jonesville, and Mr. Terry Smith (Twanna) of Gaffney; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two best friends, Ms. Marie Jefferies and Mrs. Nita Chambers (Willie), both of Gaffney; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family is receiving friends at the residence, 530 McCluney Drive, Gaffney.
Foster Funeral Home of Gaffney is in charge of arrangements.
