Mayo, SC - Rhonda Ann Champion Cash, 69, of 148 Orchard Street, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of Norma Bridges Champion of Gaffney and the late James Champion. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Nestle.
Rhonda was known for her selflessness, kindness, and caring heart. She lived her life in service to others, always giving more than she ever asked in return. To know her was to feel unconditional love and quiet strength. She touched countless lives with her compassion and will be remembered as someone who made the world better simply by being in it.
Her love for her granddaughter Zahra was immeasurable, and she poured her heart into every moment they spent together.
Surviving in addition to her mother is a son, Jonathan Cash of Spartanburg; a daughter, Tina Syrax (Nicholas) of Simpsonville; two brothers, Bobby Champion and Wayne Champion (Jean), both of Gaffney; a sister, Jan Byars (Roy) of Gaffney; a grandchild, Zahra Syrax; her niece and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025 in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 E. Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
The family will be at their respective homes.
