Reverend Robert L. Littlejohn, Jr., a devoted pastor, community leader, and man of unwavering faith, peacefully transitioned after a life marked by service, compassion, and spiritual leadership, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at his home in Lawrenceville, GA.

Born on May 5, 1944 in Spartanburg County, SC, Rev. Littlejohn was the youngest of eight children of the late Reverend Robert L. Littlejohn, Sr. and Mrs. Mildred Toney Littlejohn. He was raised with strong values of faith, education, and service that would guide him throughout his life and ministry. Rev. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, where he earned an Associate of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. He later obtained his Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, MA.

Answering his divine calling, Rev. Littlejohn was licensed to preach the Gospel on September 29, 1969, by Rev. Arthur C. Bass, Pastor of Mount Aery Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CT. He went on to pastor several congregations, including Myrtle Baptist Church in West Newton, MA, Mount Zion Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN, and Pilgrim Way Baptist Church in Windsor, CT, where he served with dedication for many years.

Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Littlejohn had profound impact through his dedicated community service. He worked as a counselor, social worker, teacher, chaplain, mentor, and director of homeless shelters. His leadership extended to many organizations, including serving on boards and contributing to initiatives that strengthened both church and community life. He was also recognized as a gifted orator, speaking at numerous events across the country. Rev. Littlejohn's life was one of purpose and compassion. He traveled extensively, sharing his faith and embracing diverse cultures, while remaining deeply committed to uplifting others.
