Mae McCoy Obituary
Spartanburg, SC - Mae Ruth Phillips McCoy, 76, of 2151 Chesnee Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2026 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Michael McCoy and daughter of the late Roy Lee Phillips and Mary Scruggs Phillips. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Pizza Hut, volunteered with Church Builders in Spartanburg, and was a member of The Rock in Inman.
Surviving is a daughter, Shanda "Shae" Calvert (Richard "Baby Son") of Boiling Springs, SC; a brother, Dane Lee Phillips (Sarah) of Gaffney; a sister, Brenda Davis (Gary) of Gaffney; grandchildren, A. J. Chitwood, Haley Chitwood, Brianna McCarter (Todd), Jacy Littlejohn and Samantha Calvert; great-grandchildren, Hannah & Lilly Hyman, Jaxon and Sophia Cardenas, Samantha Calvert. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Swanger, two granddaughters, Summer Hyman and Mary Logan Wilson, and three brothers, Robert Phillips, Johnny Phillips and Charlie Phillips.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Copeland officiating. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens in Boiling Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
The family will be at the residence, 2151 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
