Thomas Gordon Obituary

Landrum - Thomas Francis Gordon, 74 , beloved husband of Kathleen Gordon, died peacefully on Wednesday November 29, 2023. Tom leaves a large loving family to both mourn and celebrate his life, including: his wife Kathleen Gordon of Landrum; his son William Gordon, wife Katherine and grandson George; his daughter Katie Oleyer, husband Michael and grandchildren Grace and James; his stepdaughter Laura Bierley, husband Brett and granddaughter Rachel; and his stepson Ted Garneau and granddaughter Courtney. Tom also leaves behind siblings Jimmy, Kathy, Irene, Gerry and Timmy and their extended families.

Tom was a graduate of Lynbrook High School where he was a star athlete in both football and Lacrosse. He went to West Point and Hofstra University, where he continued his athletic and educational achievements. Tom was a natural salesman with a tireless work ethic. He was successful in a large array of business ventures throughout his life – there was literally nothing in which he didn't believe he could find success.

Tom was the life of every party, dancing, telling stories, and cheering up any gathering with his infectious laugh. And of course, he loved hitting the golf course with his close friends. He most looked forward to celebrations and holidays with family, from which he leaves a wonderful and lasting legacy.

Friends are invited to join Tom's family for a service on December 9th at the Mackey Funeral Home at 11am , 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC.

A celebration of life in Tom's honor will be held at his home immediately following the service from 3p-6p, 5473 North Highway 14, Landrum, SC.
