Verona Giles Obituary
Cowpens, SC - Verona Diane Lowe Gentry Giles, 85, of 127 Gentry Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at her daughter's home.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Cullen Lowe and Ruby Cash Lowe. The special love of her life was Junior Giles of Gaffney and was formerly married to the late Lloyd Edward Gentry. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, loved country music and traveling, especially to the beach. She had a great love for her family and her Lord, was a homemaker and formerly worked at Hamrick's. Mrs. Gentry was a member of Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle and attended Love Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Tony Gentry (Charlene) of Gaffney; a daughter, Betty Natzke (Danny) of Gaffney; two brothers, Ronnie Lowe (Ann) of Spartanburg and Donnie Lowe of Mayo; a sister, Linda Cole of Cowpens; six grandchildren, Loren Boggs (Geno), Casey Gentry, John Dalton Gentry, Lasinda Neal, Tyler Mullinax and Sarah Gentry; three great-grandchildren; Anna Turner, Isaac Turner and Travis Mullinax and one on the way; a daughter in-law, Jenny Gentry of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Edward "John" Gentry; a grandson, Anthony Lloyd Neal; five brothers, Winford Lowe, Ted Lowe, Ken Lowe, Buck Lowe and Howard "Hoss" Lowe; and three sisters, Margie "Sis" Parris, Brenda Frady and Betty Gentry.
The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Love Springs Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00PM at the church with Dr. Ron Culbertson and Reverend Richard Sellers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Love Springs Baptist Church, 562 Sunny Slope Drive, Cowpens, SC, 29330 or Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle, 621 4th Street, Gaffney, SC, 29340.
The family will be at the home of Danny and Betty Natzke, 115 Pinecrest Drive.
