PETERSON, JR.,
ADRIAN NICHOLAS
Adrian Nicholas Peterson, Jr., affectionately known as A.J., gained his wings on February 17, 2015. He was born on August 7, 2007, in Lake Forest, Illinois, the son of Adrian and Angela (Bailey) Peterson. He attended Avon School in Grayslake, IL for two years and spent his last year at Park School in Roundlake, IL. He was currently working on becoming the strongest police officer ever. A.J. attended The Chapel in Libertyville, IL.
A.J. touched the lives of many. He became famous as the leader of AJ Soars, a society of family and friends dedicated to fight DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) with A.J. Throughout the last 8 months, A.J. exemplified a great deal of strength and love. He never complained. A.J.'s smile will forever be embedded in the hearts of everyone that had the privilege of meeting him.
A.J. is survived by his parents, Angela and Adrian Peterson; his brother Aaden and his sisters Amelia and Alana. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Robin Taylor of Kingsland, GA and Kenneth Bailey of Folkston, GA; his paternal grandparents, Porter and Reatha Peterson of Gainesville, FL; and his God-parents, Spencer and Samantha Smith and Michael and Chantal Peterson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 @ 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1285 Kinlaw Rd., Woodbine, GA 31569.
Interment will be on Monday, February 23, in Forest Meadows Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. Interment will be handled by Chestnut Funeral Home, Gainesville, FL.
Final arrangements entrusted to Royal Funeral Home, Inc., Jesup, GA.
