ALEXANDER CANEEL
Alexander Caneel Price passed away Monday evening in Gainesville, Florida. He was born on September 22, 1999 in Akron, Ohio. Alex is survived by his mother, Melissa Crowder (Ronald) of Gainesville, Florida and father, Thomas Price Jr. (Pamela) of Copley, Ohio. Also survived by his brother, Benjamin Crowder of Gainesville, Florida; maternal grandparents Gale and Charles Spring of Florida; paternal grandmother BettyJo Price of Virginia; paternal grandfather Thomas Price Sr. of Ohio; aunts Kimberly Stephens (Shawn) and Becki Crawford; uncle Robert Price (Julie); cousins Margaret, Cooper, Anne, Otto, Riley, Mackenzie, Simon and Reese.
Alex attended 8th grade at Alachua Learning Center, where he was an Honor Roll student, highly regarded by teachers and friends. He was a member of Bradford Riding Club, Union County Riding Club and competed in NBHA. Alex loved nature and the outdoors. He was both NAUI and PADI certified to scuba dive, snowboarded every winter in Ohio like a natural, played baseball, rode dirt bikes and four-wheelers with passion and skill, and was a skeet shooting enthusiast. He could spend days on the water fishing and tubing. With his beautiful smile and sense of adventure, he took on extreme roller coasters and para-sailing. Alex loved computer science and was gifted with empathy, compassion and responsibility towards all animals.
Please join us to celebrate Alexander's life with his loving family and friends and contribute to the remembrance of his life's story on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Avenue, Gainesville. A reception will immediately follow at the church. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alachua County Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609, where he planned to volunteer for a community service project through the school.
