ANDREW PATRICK
'DREW/SHORTY'
Deacon Maddox, Sr. was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on January 27, 1968 to the late Margaret Jean Smith & Robert Sturgis. He suddenly transitioned from this earthly realm to eternity on Monday, July 27, 2015 at his residence (Gainesville, FL).
Deacon Maddox graduated from Gainesville High School (Class of 1986) - and began pursuing a Degree at Santa Fe Community College before realizing Entrepreneurship was the route by which he would earn his living. At the time of his untimely demise he was Co-Owner of MDH Auto Group Inc. in east Gainesville, Florida.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his long-time partner and wife - Victoria Ellis-Maddox; children - Andrew Patrick Jr., Andrew Ladrey, Kay, Onteria, Andruw, and Princess Maddox, Ch'keria McBride, Mario and Antonio Velazquez-Maddox, Bobby Rainer-Maddox (Julia), Fatima, Alex and DraeDarius Hall all of Gainesville FL; sisters - Sharonda Smith of Baltimore MD, Edna Sturgis, Robin Sturgis, Alberta Sturgis-Sanders, Gwendolyn Sturgis-Tongkam (Lenin), Carron Sturgis-Callway (Douglas) and Evelyn Sturgis-Fields of Daytona Beach, FL Linell Tolbert of Gainesville, FL; brothers - Teddy Cooper (Tatiana) of Daytona Beach, FL and Charlie Chatman of Gainesville, FL; one great aunt - Eloise Thomas; aunt - Francis Smith of Baltimore, MD; uncle - Michael Smith of Daytona Beach, FL; Grandchildren - Amarius Hale, ReRe, King and Chloe Darby, Bobby Jr. and Bre'nhyia Rainer-Maddox, Julanie Gordon-Rainer, Quamaine Nickols and Noah Velazquez-Maddox; he also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends (especially GHS Class of '86).
The Celebration of Life for Deacon Maddox will take place at Faith Missionary Baptist Church (Gainesville, FL) 2:00PM Saturday, August 8, 2015, with the Pastor, Pastor Kevin W. Thorpe, Presiding and Eulogy by Gainesville District COGBF Superintendent Willie J. McKnight, Sr. The Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery (Fairbanks Community). Deacon Maddox will be viewed at Faith Missionary Baptist Church on Friday 5:00-7:00PM - And at the Church on Saturday with the Processional.
In observance of his love for Michael Jordan, the color scheme will be Black and Red.
Arrangements Entrusted To: DUNCAN BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME, 428 NW 8th Street, Gainesville, FL.

Still in stated of shock, but we known life something goes out that way. we just don't known when the hour is at hand. him and his wife came over for some work to be done on his suit's for their Youth Meeting they was going too, also him and his son came over and did my yard two day later;knowing how he was talking to his son that night at my home about life we all was setting around talk just didn't known it will be the last time we will be talk with each about my brothers he was asking about. my heart goes out to his lovely wife Vikki and his little daughter as well as all his kids.
