A powerful man, he filled a room with a presence that felt more like ten men. Tough but fair, strong but kind, quick to correct, but quick to defend. He was so tough that Death had to sneak up on him in his sleep and years ahead of time, because even Death knew it wouldn’t stand a chance face to face.
Thanks, Jerry, for the inspiration to follow our dreams, no matter what others think. Thanks for the fine example of good work ethic, that came in part from a deep respect of your own father. Thanks for the opportunity of knowing you.
