BEATRICE BAKER Obituary
Mrs. Beatrice Baker, age 98, passed away March 2, 2018 at the E.T. York Haven Hospice Center in Gainesville, FL. Mrs. Baker was a lifelong resident of Archer, FL, and was a member of Banks United Methodist Church where she served on the Usher Board, and as a Communion Steward. She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene L. Baker.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her children, Freddie Lee Baker (Bettie), Catherine Baker Logan, Carolyn Baker Turner (Thomas), all of Gainesville, FL; sister-in-law, Viran Johnson, Archer, FL, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and adopted grandson; Andrew Mauldin.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Baker will be held, 11:00am, Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at Banks United Methodist Church, Rev. Stacey Graham, Officiating; burial will follow in Forest Meadows Memorial Park-West. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
Mrs. Baker will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 9th, 2018 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00am until the hour of Service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the home of Mrs. Baker, 5720 S.W. 170th St., Archer, FL, at 10:15am to form the Cortege. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made to Banks United Methodist Church, or E.T. York Haven Hospice Center.
