Catherine Touchstone Obituary
Lake Butler - May 18, 2008; Mrs. Catherine Pittman Touchstone, age 85, of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully Sunday morning in the Haven Hospice Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Homerville, Ga. Living most of her life in Lake Butler. She was the daughter of the late Henry Pittman and Katie Pittman. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard V. Touchstone. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lake Butler Church of God.
She is survived by 2 Daughters: Bernell Melton (Douglas) of Wagner, Okla. and Cathy Griffis (Randy) of Lake Butler, 2 Sons: Richard S. Touchstone (Diana) and Marty V. Touchstone (Nancy P.) both of Lake Butler, 1 Sister: Maeola Grimes of Lake Butler, 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Lake Butler Church of God, with Rev. Alvin Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Elzey Chapel Cemetery under the care of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
