Daniel attended Villanova University and was a graduate of Eckels College of Mortuary Science of Philadelphia. He played semi professional football for the Carolina Kittyhawks. Mr. Ciechanowski was a proud veteran serving during WWII in the Merchant Marine as a communications officer where he retired as Chief Radio Man after 23 years of service in the US Naval Reserve. He was an avid amateur radio operator (W2YMI). Daniel loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed Polka dancing along with his wife Leona at various church and fraternal functions. In his spare time he liked boating, fishing and had a tremendous affinity for the water. Mr. Ciechanowski was the Commissioner and Vice President of The Camden Housing Authority and Vice President of the Camden City Board of Education.
