David Lambert Obituary

LAMBERT, DAVID KENNETH, 57

Gainesville - David Kenneth Lambert, aged 57, the eldest son of Dr. Raymond K. Lambert and Helen Ritchey Lambert, passed away on June 29, 2007.

David was born July 12, 1949 in Bluefield West Virginia. He was the first of three sons of Helen and Ray.

David lived most of his early years in Roanoke, Virginia and he graduated from Emory & Henry College in 1971 in Political Science and Sociology.

Following graduation David served his country in the US Navy. In the final year of his service, he served as a drug counselor at USN's Jacksonville, Florida facility.

Upon his honorably leaving the service, he met and married Judy Graham in Roanoke in 1981, and they relocated to Gainesville, Florida to continue his schooling at Santa Fe, and to work in the electronics and laboratory field. David made Gainesville and central Florida his home for the past 26 years.

David loved to travel. He was passionate about photography, music and nature, and had an eclectic sense of humor and wit. He was a man of a good heart and strong beliefs, who participated In the Spirit of Truth church in Gainesville.

David is survived by his brothers and their families, Paul and Jane Lambert of Cary, North Carolina and Bob and Cheryl Lambert of Glendale, California: by his former wife and beloved friend Judy Lambert; by his nephews, Nate, son of Paul, and Scott Graham, son of Judy.

A memorial will take place Sunday, July 8 at 3pm at Spirit of Truth, 2251 NW 41st Street in Gainesville.

Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, Downtown, 404 North Main Street.
