Dear Dave,
How can it be one year since you left this earth? With strength from God, supportive family and friends, my strong faith in Jesus and many, many prayers, I have moved forward, sometimes very slowly, through the first year. It´s been very hard and I miss you to the depths of my soul, but I try to focus on the happy memories we shared together. I miss so many things about you: your humor, your wisdom, laughter, your contagious smile, shared adventures, your grilled pork chops, watching Gator football games together, admiring beautiful sunsets on the lake out back, my devoted prayer partner, making your "special blend" coffee for me every morning, my trusted confidant, and the list goes on and on. However, when I think of Heaven, my eternal perspective has grown even deeper and more hopeful, because I know you´re there waiting for me.
Our "treasure box" is filled with many happy memories. The kids talk of you often and cherish the numerous life experiences you shared with them and they continue to be inspired by your character qualities of humbleness, integrity, empathy, love of learning, and your faith in Christ. Even precious Leah talks about the things you taught her, especially in nature, and she blows her soap bubbles to heaven for you. Many of the stories now bring us laughter and peace, because that´s what you would have wanted from us...remembering you with laughter and joy.
The beautiful words in our wedding song `Time in a Bottle´ ..."but there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them. I´ve looked around enough to know that you´re the one I want to go through time with..." could not be more true. I love you with all my heart and your memory and legacy will always remain alive within me and your family. God bless your one-year homecoming day in Heaven! (Isaiah 40:31; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

I am so sorry about Dave. I met him a couple of times when he was a young man through his Mother Laura, a dear friend. I was with Laura through her pain. She loved her boys. Blessings to Dave's family, to his Father Bob during this difficult time.

Maria, our prayers go out to you, your family and to Bob Stall and Ron Stall. The times I spent with my cousin David while he was in college, he would come to Ohio to visit. And the few times I was able to travel to Florida will always be cherished. David spoke highly of you Maria, and I believe he never felt complete until he married you. So I know you are very special. He didn't get married for so many years and would not settle getting married until he found the perfect women he could love and trust. I hope someday we will meet you Maria. We will keep you in our prayers. Dan and Cindy Basinger

I'm truly saddened to hear this! David and I knew each other since 3rd grade and all they way through high school - and into our young adulthood. He was a great friend! So many great memories with David, my husband Andy, and myself together. We had some fun, great times together.
So sad we've lost touch over the past 10 years or so. Will miss him so much!

I went to high school with Dave and remember him well. I think he was working at Barnacle Bills shucking oysters and I asked Dave if he would come to a party and shuck oysters for everybody and he agreed. The party got started a little early and by the time Dave got there most of the oysters were consumed. I always felt bad about that and every time I have eaten oysters through the years I would think of David Stall. He was friendly and handsome. I'm sorry to hear the news of his passing. Sending love to his family.

Maria, thank you for calling Mike...Dave was his best friend and had just spoken to him a few days earlier. I've never seen Mike cry very often, but it was hard for him to not be able to say goodbye to Dave -- but I imagine many weren't able to at this time. Dave had the kindest heart and the biggest smile. He never hesitated to drop what he was doing to help someone out. He was such a blessing in our lives. I will miss that great guy! Blessings to you and your family. Mike and I are a phone call away when you need something...cleaning, packing, moving, etc. We love you.
