Elrae Epps Obituary
Age 49, Grants Management Specialist with the Dept of Veterans Affairs (in Denver, Colorado) & Retired US Air Force Veteran/Major (retired in 2017) suddenly left us on March 8, 2021 in Denver, Colorado in the confines of his home.
The Final Tribute will be held 11:00AM Friday, March 19, 2021, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church (Gainesville, FL) where Reverend Kevin Thorpe is Pastor, with Reverend Dr. Willie G. Mayberry, as the Eulogist. The Burial (with Full Military Honors) will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park – East. Mr. Epps will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Thursday 2:00-6:00PM – And at the Church on Friday with the Processional. The Procession will form at The Carter's Family Home, 1139 NE 24th Street, Gainesville, FL, at 10:15AM.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Sons – Nicholas Carter-Epps and Jordan Epps and Former Spouse – Dorethea Epps all of Denver, CO; Mother – Linda Carter-Epps of Rex, GA; Father – Elrae Epps, Sr. of Rex, GA; Sister – Aundrea Cosby (& Jerrald) of Lathonia, GA; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.

My heart is truly saddened. I knew Major Epps, USAF (retired), as a quiet and kind man when we worked together at ARPC. Never heard him utter a cross word. He always offered to help me with my work and asked how I was doing. I know he is now with our heavenly Father. My sincere sympathies to his family and many many friends.
