Rev. Brown was a beloved and faithful member of the Fishermen Sunday School class. Our loss is great with his passing. We grieve with you as he was a great witness for Christ. I was sorry that I could not attend his service as we were out of town for the holiday. I will miss him, his smile, and his wisdom...Gail Werner

Pastor Avis and Family. I am truly sadden by the lost of your father. I know how much he meant to all of you.. and a number of people. I'm glad I was able to see your father, at your church's Family and Friends day event on August 30th. I love you all and if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. I've come to learn that at times like this, it helps having dear friends and loved ones by your side. God Bless, and Thank God for allowing us to be blessed with such an earthly spritual example in Rev James E Brown.

I wish that we could have restored the Smith-Griffin House into a Black History museum in his lifetime, but that was not to be. I am doing my best to preserve the house, and will always remember that his parents were married in it nearly 100 years ago.

We have lost another link to the past with Rev. Brown's passing. I am so sorry he is gone but the world is a better place for his having lived in it.

I was so sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. i didn't have the pleasure of knowing James but I do know that he will be missed greatly. I hope that you will find comfort in the promises made by God at Revelation 21:4. Again I'm so sorry for your loss.
