It is hard to believe that you have been gone for five years. I remember the first time we met was when you were volunteering at the American Cancer Society in Gainesville. I was so upset since my 27-year-old brother-in-law had just been diagnosed with brain cancer. You told me that it was possible that he could live longer than I expected because your daughter's mother-in-law had lived with over five years. Back then that used to be considered a significant time period. and people were thought to be cured if they lived that long after diagnosis. You also mentioned the name of your daughter's husband and that changed my life too. I am so glad to have known you.

Dear Jane, I'm so sorry to read that your lovely Mother has passed away, I'm not sure if you remember me. I used to clean for you and your Mother, my sister used to come to yours and do your hair. We spent many happy times staying at your. Remember my girls Hannah & Shaunagh, used to call you aunt Jane and loved all your little dogs.We moved back to England UK 2005. My girls are 20 & 21 now. Jane was a friend for almost 30 years. She was my first social-work supervisor, and I felt lucky to receive her input and advice. I felt fortunate that we remained friends over the years. She was kind, funny, and generous with me, but spoke her mind readily when we disagreed! I always enjoyed the stories she shared, full of amazing circumstances. She is missed and always will be, but I am comforted that she is at rest now.
