JANIE NICHOLS Obituary
Janie Bell Nichols, 78, Williston, Florida, peaceful descended this life at North Florida Regional Hospital into her new home over in glory on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 surrounded by her husband, children and family. Mother Nichols was retired but enjoyed managing real estate, sewing, crocheting and cooking at her leisure. she was a faithful member of Unity Temple Fellowship Center.
Mother Nichols leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband, Alfonso Nichols; eight children, Lawrence 'Pop' Baker (Zena) both deceased; Berneda Sims (Cleveland) Verndell Baker (Cathy), Wilfred Baker (Voncia), Byran Baker, Cornetta Baker, Sharon D. Battles (Alvernon), Roy Nichols; stepchildren, Clara Hughes, Arizona; and Bruce Nichols; 40 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; loving sister-in-law, Oneida Williams.
The Nichols wishes to invite you to the Services of Mother Janie Bell Nichols as we Celebrate her life on Saturday, December 16, 2017, 11:00am at Unity Temple Fellowship Center, 2351 NE 200th Ave. Williston, FL. Viewing will be one hour prior to Services and final disposition will follow immediately after services.
Professional arrangements are in the care of Carnegie Funeral Home, 217 se 4th Ave. Chiefland, FL 352-493-1857.

To Lady Elect Battles and family, you are in our prayers. Mother Nichols was a pillar in our church. She has prayed for me and my children personally several times and for that I will forever be grateful. She will be missed. She had a very mild, humble, loving and caring spirit as does Lady Elect just like her mom and that is to be appreciated. May God give each of you peace and hold you all continually in the palm of his hand. We love you.
