John, I will never forget what you said about the football games you loved to watch, that you really did not care which team won, just so they played a good game. You not only played extraordinarily well, but along the way you WON the hearts and love of ALL you touched with your spirit and smile and hard work. You are one of a kind. I miss you and pray we meet again.

Donna,

John was a GREAT man! Very proud and blessed to have you as his wife! I remember years ago, working patrol for GPD, assigned to the area of his office and frequently dropping by to visit with him! He was always so full of laughter and always willing to help and care of those in need! I know you saw that in him everyday!

After he retired my family and I enjoyed visiting with John at home and sharing wonderful times together!

I am so sorry for your loss.

I came to work at AGH as a Unit Secretary in 1977. I met Dr. Boyle the same year. He was a wonderful man and an incredible gentleman. He liked good coffee, and he knew we would make Barney's coffee around 7:00, he would come up, ask if we had the good stuff, have a cup and occasionally sip me 10 or 15 dollers to help pay for the next Barney's run. He took very good care of his patients. He was the only physician on the floor one night when another physicians patients coded. It was one of the best run codes I have ever seen. I used to see him out with his youngest girls, and he was always so happy to be a father. He talked about his family a lot. He was a caring and compassionate man who will be missed by all who knew him. My sympathy to each of you.

My family moved to Gainesville in 1976; I was 13-years-old. Dr. Boyle was my doctor from then up until I was 22-years-old & moved away. I am now 43-years-old & am a doctor, myself. I hope his family will read this & take comfort in knowing that he touched so many lives in such a positive way.
