KAMAU IMANI Obituary
- RA KYLER
Kamau Okembe - Ra Kyler Imani of Harrisonburg, Virginia, 18, Customer Service Representative, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 10, 2018, during his stay at UF Health North (Jacksonville, FL).
The Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (Gainesville, FL) where Reverend Destin Williams is Pastor. Kamau's father, Rev. Dr. Nikitah Imani, will deliver the Eulogy. Kamau will be viewed at the funeral home on Friday 2:00-7:30 PM. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM; Kamau will also be viewed at the Church on Saturday 30 minutes prior to the services and with the Processional. The Procession will form at the residence of his great grandparents, Dea. Edward & Evelyn Niblack, 1680 SE 32nd St, Gainesville at 1:15PM.
Endearing memories will remain with his mother Melinda Wilson Kyler Imani & stepfather Nathaniel Robinson of Harrisonburg, VA; father Rev. Dr. Nikitah Imani of Omaha, NE; sisters Kandyce Bartee, K'Lysse, Kamari and K'Lasia Robinson of Harrisonburg, VA; maternal grandparents Joyce Wilson (Aaron) and Ronald Kyler of Gainesville, FL; paternal grandparents Eula C. (Deceased) & Elouise Strong of Atlanta, GA; maternal great grandparents Dea. Edward & Evelyn Niblack, and Murray (Deceased) & Jeanette Wilson of Gainesville, FL, (Frank & Essie Kyler - deceased); aunts Cristal Ferguson, LaTasha Wilson (Quincy) and April Wilson; uncles Kevin Wilson (Tequila) and Jason Ngunjiri (Cassie); a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

To my beloved son now with and among the angels. Thank you for being the child you were and the man you became. I would have gladly taken that ultimately fatal shot for you, standing in for you as our Lord stood in for us all. If love could have saved you if itself, you would be here. Then again, son you ARE here and will forever with me for everytime and everywhere I see sincere love, laughter, and life I shall remember you. And you will dwell in this grieving father's being my inspiring smile and my sincere tears for all time. Until again we meet.
