BLITCH, MARY ANN, 84
Mary Ann Blitch, age 84 of Gainesville, Florida, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born August 3, 1933 in Bartow, Florida. Mary Ann was a long-time resident of Gainesville She loved gardening and feeding the birds and other animals in her backyard sanctuary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mitchell Blitch and siblings, Herman Taylor, Lacy Taylor, Rudy Taylor and Sarah Hill.
She is survived by her five children, Jacquie Jordan, Rita Armstrong, Edward Jordan (spouse Lora), Frances Proctor (spouse Darryl Proctor) and Johnathan Blitch; seven grandchildren, Brad Jordan (spouse Rachael), Robert Jordan, Michael Jordan, Brian Jordan, Matthew Jordan, Jordan Niemiec and Bria Blitch; six foster grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Siblings, Betty Grace Crawford, Howard Taylor, James Taylor, Becky Stone and Virginia Benton also survive her.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East Cemetery. Please visit her memorial page at
