MARY WISEBAKER Obituary

WISEBAKER, MARY M.

Mary Magdalene Wisebaker, 78 of Chiefland, passed away Oct. 11, 2011 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. She was born in Steinhatchee, FL to Oscar and Rachel Tompkins. She moved to Chiefland in 2000 from Ft. Lauderdale.

Mrs. Wisebaker was a member of the Hardeetown Baptist Church. She worked in food service for approximately 30 years and as a school crossing guard in Chiefland for 10 years. She was a wonderful mother and Mema to her grand children and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and going on walks with her dog Ginger.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Don S. & Katie Ward of Taylors, SC, James T. & Vonda Ward of Wellborn, FL; daughter and son-in-law Cindy A & Kent Wood of Cross City, sisters Lucille McCall of Steinhatchee, Georgia Lee Steinbraker of Chiefland, and brother Charles Tompkins of Jasper and her 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wisebaker, her parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct.15th at 10:00 AM at Hardeetown Baptist Church in Chiefland, with Rev. Travis Hudson officiating, followed by interment in the Waters Memorial Gardens in Steinhatchee, FL. Visitation will be Friday, Oct 14, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center, 6037 Highway 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055
