Patsy Douglas Obituary
Patsy T. Douglas, 56, passed away June 11, 2010, A Gainesville Native, she was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: husband Kelvin K. Epps, Gainesville, FL. Two daughters Lakwinta Stewart, Gainesville, FL. Shameta Webb, Atlanta, GA Three sons Walter Stewart, Gainesville, Kelvin. Epps, Jr. Atlanta, GA. Jamie Epps, Atlanta, GA. Two sisters Margo Douglas, Atlanta, GA Linda Griffin Dallas, TX. 11 grand children.
Funeral services for Mrs. Douglas, will be held on Sat. June 19, 2010 at 3:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church Rev. R. L. Slater Officiating Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery Williston, FL. Under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday Chestnut Chapel 2:00-7:00 PM The cortege will form at the home of her uncle Mr. Henry Douglas 514 S.E. 14th Terrace Gainesville, FL. at 2:15 PM.

Mom, I´m thinking of you today as I always do. I can barely type what I want to say as tears begin to fall. I love and miss you so much. I wish I could pick up the phone to call, give you another hug or kiss, have another meal with you, and so much more. They say time heals all pain, but it just makes it a little easier to deal with. The pain and void of you not being in my life always seems to be there. Thank you for being my mother. I will always love you..... Your daughter, your baby girl, Shameta

Our thoughts and prayers are with this family during your time of bereavement.I knew Patsy back from elementary school and had the opportunity to talk with her at church some years back. Sorry to hear of your loss, but God knows best. She was a kind person. Find comfort in knowing that God did not promise sun without rain, light without darkness or joy without pain. Patsy and I used to "hang" together and were good friends for many years. Fond memories of those times will always be with me. I know she will be dearly missed by family and friends and pray that God bless and comfort each of you as you continue through life's journey with pleasant memories of Patsy.

I remember the good times we had growing-up in the neighborhood SE 14th Terrace & SE 15th Street. Those were our precious times. Now it time to say goodby Patsy but, we will see each other again.
